The split of the 2022 Summer League has now taken place. We have 6 teams in each half, with the fixtures for the final 5 weeks of the season available at https://www.lancasterpoolleague.org.uk/fixtures-results/.
A full reversal of the fixtures seen pre-split hasn’t been possible, but I’ve gotten as close as I could, so apologies if you find yourself home (or away) twice to the same team!

In lieu of the reducing of restrictions and pubs now returning to (almost) normal operation, the committee has now deemed it suitable to look at restarting the Lancaster Pool League, and as such, would like to request teams register for the upcoming 2021/22 Winter League.
In order to minimise the requirement for meeting in person, this can now be done online via the form on this page. We ask that only the captain (or a single representative) from each team completes the form, in order to speed up the organisation of the upcoming season.
There are also a couple of optional questions pertaining to a vacancy within the League Committee (following Cian Jarvis’s departure), as well as an open submission for any issues to be raised at an AGM.
While we’ll endeavour to make such a meeting accessible to all from a distance (via some form of an online video call), we’d equally like to encourage attendance from captain’s that are comfortable, in order to both support the host venue, and to facilitate ease of discussion surrounding any matters that are raised. The AGM is currently pencilled in for 7pm, 6th October, at Reform Club. Changes to either the time or venue will be published if and when needed.
The league itself is pencilled in to commence on 27th October, with fixtures subject to team signups.
In regards to the curtailed 2019/20 season, it has been decided, due to both the number of fixtures remaining, and due to change in circumstances for a number of teams involved (notably the annual reshuffle of the University cohort and the loss of the Hornets Bar table), the league season will be scrapped, along with the cup competitions, with entries paid by teams to such competitions being rolled over into the upcoming 2021/22 season. The individual and doubles competitions will play to a finish with the traditional “Finals Night”, ahead of a new competition to run at the start of 2022, as per the usual timeline. If you are still in the running in either of these competitions, please endeavour to play any outstanding matches in the competitions. All fixtures up to, but not including, the last 16 in the singles, and up to but not including the quarter-finals of the doubles, need to be completed ASAP (a finals night date is TBC, but expect this to be some time in November or December).
While we understand that some teams will be disappointed by this decision, we aren’t able to complete the remainder of the previous season and ensure that the matches would be of the same standard as prior to the pandemic, and as such results would be unfairly skewed due to the number of matches completed by teams being both unequal and unevenly distributed between the fixtures.
We look forward to getting back to regular Wednesday night action, and hope to see you all back on the baize very shortly.

Further fixtures will be available on the website as soon as I can get them up there. Printed fixtures and scorecards will hopefully be available by this Wednesday ahead of the games, but certainly by 2nd game.

This will also be your opportunity to register for the upcoming Winter 2019/20 season, where we hope to see an even larger league than last year’s record 26 teams. Team registration will be at a cost of £30 per team this year.
Finally, this will be your chance to voice your opinions on anything and everything in the league, as part of our AGM. Proposals for changes to the operation of the league are to be raised by team captains only and should be seconded by at least one other team captain.

As the current summer league is taking us past our usual winter league start date this year, we have decided to do the following.
Teams wishing to register a team for the coming season need to get £42 registration per team to a member of the committee (Myself, Joe Ruddock, Tom Jones, Peter Corke) by no later than Wednesday 17th October (I will get receipts to all who require them).
This will allow us time to sort the fixtures out, and get them to you for the following week, which will in turn allow us to start the Winter league on October 31st giving us no time off in between seasons!
In place of our usual Annual General Meeting any issues, question etc will be raised on this page, allowing everyone to read and digest them before, if necessary, we vote on them.
Now, not everyone uses this group, so as ever add anyone who you know is joining a team or still not a member and please inform anyone you know (players, captains, landlords) about this post…

Subs are £42 per team. As usual the final line up for the league(s) will depend on the number of teams we get.
This is simply a registration evening, not an AGM. That will take place as usual prior to the start of next Winter League.
Presentation night for the 2017/18 Summer and Winter leagues is being organised. It will most likely be a Saturday evening at some point over Summer but we will keep you updated.
All being well the first fixture for this coming Summer league will be Wednesday 30th May, but we will confirm this at the registration evening.
If anyone can’t make the registration but wants to enter a team then they need to get their subs to me, Ash or Corkey before the 16th.
